ATS ensures the continuity of supplying power in critical applications & keeps your productivity up, as it is responsible for the load transfer between two sources (main & standby) with complete monitoring, controlling, warning and protection features for the two sources.
Automatic transfer switch detects whether there is failure in the incoming power or it’s smooth and healthy. Whenever there’s an outage, voltage or frequency increased or dropped to the preset threshold value or failure happened in phase sequence, the panel disconnects the main supply and generates a signal to start the backup generator and then the loads are connected to the generator. When the main power returns, ATS checks if it is stable, it will transfer the loads back to the main power and command the generator to turn off after cool down time with no load on the generator.
To ensure the starting of the generator on required time, AMI offers generator battery chargers which are permanently connected to your generator’s stationary battery and trickle charge it. The panel also contains not only an electrical interlock but also a mechanical interlock added to ensure the highest levels of protection. The automatic transfer switch contains two power contactors or two motorized circuit breakers that ensure proven performance for low operation costs according to generator rating.

Automatic Main Failure control panel is the ideal choice in case where you have to control a generator that is connected as a backup to the Main. The AMF control panel contains both panels (MCP and ATS), it can manage the connection of the load to main or generator to avoid fault of interfering of main and generator power, in a fully automatic way.
The AMF panel includes MCP features and ATS features as below: all the controller, indicators and protections of the MCP, in addition to the contactors or the Motorized Circuit Breaker with electrical and mechanical interlock, indications, alarms and control circuits of the ATS.

cost of maintenance and spare parts of one big generator for specific period of operation at light load will be higher than in case of small units operate according to load needs (just one small unit may be sometimes enough for low load period)
