Diesel Generating Sets (8 – 3000 KVA) Low & Medium Voltage
AMI Gensets are mainly composed of the world’s well-known diesel engines such as Cummins, Perkins, Deutz, Volvo, and MTU. These engines are coupled to Stamford ac alternators.
Stamford 2-, 4-6- poles, ip23 up to ip44 alternators can be fitted as standard.
Ratings
All ratings are in accordance with ISO 8528-1 Engine ratings are based on BS5514 Reference Conditions. Alternator rating complies with class H temperature rise according to EN 60034-1 up to 1000m above sea level.
Assembly
Engine and single bearing alternators are close coupled and mounted on a heavy-duty fabricated steel base frame, for sets up to 500 kVA the base frame incorporates a fuel tank of 8 hours continuous operation at 75% full load (however we can also provide the sets with separate daily fuel tank of same capacity and base frame without daily tank). The tank is equipped with supply and return lines, fuel content gauge. For sets above 500 kVA, a separate daily fuel tank will be supplied. The industrial water-cooled set includes a mounted tropical duty fan cooled radiator industrial silencer with flexible exhaust coupling and heavy-duty batteries for electric engine starting. The marine Set includes fresh/raw water heat exchanger for cooling.
Testing
Based on ISO 8528 part 6 all sets tested on 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, and for prim rating 110% load. Individual test certificate to be supplied with each set, indication and automatic protection functions are checked before dispatch. Quality Assurance procedures at all assembly process ensure that only a first-class product reaches our customer.
Medium Voltage test bench is on site having step-up transformer up to 1.5 MVA
